ABOUT CHOICE TRAILERS

Our Heritage

HERITAGE FORGED
IN THE OIL FIELD.
QUALITY PROVEN EVERY DAY.

Long before Choice Trailer Manufacturing, LTD became recognized for rugged, purpose-built heavy-haul solutions, our identity was shaped in one of the toughest proving grounds in the world: the oil field. Our early years were spent building lowboys capable of hauling drilling rigs into remote Texas leases — a place where equipment failure isn't an inconvenience, it's a mission-stopper.

In the early 1980s, founder Enrique Zanelli, recently out of the U.S. Navy, started a small equipment business in Houston. His mechanical instincts, leadership, and curiosity soon led him toward trailer design and fabrication. As a user-manufacturer, Enrique hauled alongside operators, watched the realities of job sites, and learned firsthand what the field demanded: strength, durability, serviceability, and absolute reliability.

As oil-and-gas operations expanded across Latin America and later into Europe, the demand for custom heavy-haul solutions grew. Choice Trailers stepped into that gap — designing and building equipment engineered specifically for drilling, completions, well service, pipeline construction, mining, and extreme-environment transport.

Quality Control

THE FOUNDATION OF
EVERY TRAILER WE BUILD

Our history in oil & gas taught us one thing above all: quality isn't optional — it's survival. That mindset drives every part of our manufacturing process today.

01

Engineering-Led Validation

Structural FEM analysis and load path testing before fabrication begins. Senior engineers with decades in heavy-haul determine final approval.

02

Material Verification

Only certified, documented materials enter production. Steel, axles, suspensions, hydraulics — every batch tracked for full traceability.

03

Precision Welding

All welders certified for heavy-haul structural applications. Critical welds receive visual inspection, dye penetrant testing, and uniformity checks.

04

In-Process Assembly Audits

Supervisors inspect each assembly module before it advances. Nonconformities are flagged and resolved immediately.

05

Load & Road Testing

Hydraulic pressure tests, simulated load tests, and real-world road validation confirm tracking, stability, and structural performance.

06

Final QC Certification

Complete documentation: material certifications, engineering approvals, testing results, and serial-number traceability.
